Garageio

We are happy to report that we finished the top 25 contestants of Fundable.com‘s #Crowd2Shelf contest.  The #Crowd2Shelf contest is a joint-venture between Staples and Fundable.com to bring one of the 25 contest finalists to retail shelves!

Once the contest is over and the champions are announced, the winning entrant will be contacted by the Staples team, who will put their incredible product development resources to work to help them get their product retail-ready and into Staples inventory!

We are honored to be a part of this contest and we are ready to show Staples that Garageio has what it takes! For a limited-time, you can support Garageio in this stage in a number of ways. Head over to our campaign page (https://www.fundable.com/garageio-staples) and grab a reward!

July Shipping Update

The Garageio team has been pulling some long days and late nights to try to stay on top of all that is happening. July has been a very busy month. We have made critical updates to our support software, working on awesome updates for all of our mobile apps and web dashboard, and working on some exciting projects (which we will be announcing very soon). All the while, making time to try to keep the pipeline moving on fulfilling orders to patient customers.

Shipping Update

Though we still have outstanding pre-orders, we have made up a lot of ground in recent weeks. We wanted to share with you the latest news on shipping dates for those customers still waiting for theirs.

Visit the orders page for current shipping estimates.

A Special Thank You

The Garageio team and I would like to extend a special thank you to our current (and our soon to be) customer for their patience as we work through some growing pains. As we reflect (very briefly) back over the past several months, we realize that we have come a long way from our Fundable campaign. None of this…none of it…would have been possible without your support. Thank you to everyone who made it possible. We are thankful each day because we have the most wonderful customers, ever.

June Software Update

Late last night we released a new version of the software that powers your Garageio Blackbox.

All Garageio Blackboxes that are powered on and connected to the internet will automatically download and apply this update.

There is nothing you need to do in order to update your Blackbox.

This software update has been in the works for a couple of months. The update includes bug fixes, a number of stability enhancements, and a connection update to prevent a connection issue that a small number of people have reported.

Put simply, after this update, your Blackbox will function better than ever!

June Update!

May and June have been a really busy month for the Garageio team. From our last update, we were fully-focused on scaling our manufacturing to finish fulfilling our Fundable campaign preorders. As you know, during this time, we experienced a delay which bumped our timeframe back yet again. Much of May was spent recovering from this delay as we worked closely with the manufacturer.

Shipping of Orders: I am happy to report that we will be shipping all of the remaining Fundable preorders by our date listed on the Order Status page: http://garageio.com/orders. If for any reason, you have a question about your order, please contact our customer service by submitting a message:  http://garageio,com/contact.

For those who ordered after our Fundable campaign ended, your Garageio is still on its way! For an estimated shipping date, be sure to check out our Order Status page: http://garageio.com/orders.

Feature/Update Roadmap: Garageio has many planned software updates to the mobile apps and the website dashboard. We will be turning our attention back to them over the next month. Stayed tuned for some exciting improvements.

A Thank You: I wanted to extend my gratitude and thanks to all of the early customer who took time to share their thoughts with us on installing and using Garageio. It has been both uplifting and constructive. Your feedback gives us critical insight into your experience and helps us to continue to improve Garageio!

We are also appreciative of all of our early customers who have shown patience and understanding as we work through the issues typical of a small company. Your support means more to us than we can accurately express.

Status Update – 22 April

We Are Almost There!
The Garageio team has been hard at work chiseling away at every aspect of what it takes to make an extraordinary product by a few ordinary individuals. We wanted to take a second and send out an update on our overall progress. Dave and I have been wearing out our keyboards writing app updates and working closely with some familiar names on platform integrations which will allow Garageio to talk with some other great products in and coming to the market.

Shipping and Order Status
Greg has been working diligently on scaling manufacturing options and, in the immediate timeframe, assembling and fulfilling existing orders. Due to the availability of some of the components, we are only receiving about a third of the expected shipment for the Fundable backer fulfillment. Our plan was to have all Fundable orders shipped the week of April 21st but given this situation, we can’t realistic achieve this goal. We will continue to move down the list in order and will continue to work with our suppliers to expedite the remaining shipment.

We have created a new status page which we update every few days:
http://garageio.com/orders

Support Tickets and Inquires
The entire team spends as much time as we can answering contact inquiries and supporting our current users to the best of our abilities. If you have sent us something, we did see it! We promise to give a response as quickly as possible (although sometimes it is not as quick as we would hope).

We take to heart the support everyone has given us thus far and continue to push forward to make things even better than the day before. Everyday, the Garageio team aims to accomplish as much as is humanly possible. Each team member continues to battle these challenges to continue our pursuit of the traditional American entrepreneurial dream.

New Installation Video!
The Garageio Team just recently shot a brand new video which details each step of the simple installation process. We are working on integrating it into the online instructions, but for the meantime, you can check it out here: https://vimeo.com/92619019

Ideas born in the garage, made in the garage (and in this case FOR the garage!) still remains possible today.

Thanks for your continued support!

Garageio Installation Videos

Although the weather was not our ally this past weekend, it did not stop us from having a great time filming our new series of Garageio installation videos. With a little more time left in the editing room we hope to soon deliver a helpful video instruction series to make your Garageio installation as smooth as possible.
